SAMBO competition has finished at the World Combat Games

Alberti Guillaume, French national team coach: We have one gold medal and fifth place. So it’s a good result for us. Before the final I hope two medals but we lost the match. May be the next time we have good result. Laura Fournier won gold medal. It’s good. She lost the final at the Universiade, at the European championship too. And now she won. It’s very nice. 

Ali Kurzhev, Russia: Finals turned difficult. Babijchuk prepared for this competition, it is always hard to fight with him. He is considered a master of the ground fighting. I had to spend quite a hard fight, be cautious. 

Kalina Stefanova, Bulgary: I expected to be first. But I had a surgery three months ago. So it was one big training for me. The main goal was to keep my arms in good health and all the body in good health. My main purpose is the world championship the next month. I’ll work about my mistakes and do my positives. And work out the world championship. 

Evgeny Isaev, Russia: It was really hard. I had to be careful. 00:31 00:42 Composition was very serious. On emotions it is comparable to the World Cup. It was hard to fight. I think it was a preliminary examination. I have passed it. 

SAMBO competition has finished at the World Combat Games. The next serious tournament is in the end of November. See you soon on the world championship in St. Petersburg.
